SAG-AFTRA has again – and for the last time – extended its dues relief program for members experiencing financial difficulties due to Covid-related issues. The union only started offering Covid-related fee waivers in March 2020, in the early days of the pandemic. However, it has consistently encouraged members who can pay on time to do so.

The End and Final Dues extension, which allows members to pay their May 2023 dues in two installments, was approved by Guild Council on 27 April.

“As the federal government ends the public health emergency, deferring dues remains an important part of the overall response in support of SAG-AFTRA members during this time of need to free members to work while still maintaining the paid due,” the guild said. say.

Members experiencing financial difficulties due to Covid-19 can request and receive a due date extension and payment schedule on or before June 9.

“You can pay your current contribution in May 2023 in two installments. Half of the contribution account is required by June 9, 2023 and the remaining half by September 12, 2023,” the guild says, noting that “SAG-AFTRA will resume regular invoicing and payment from the November 2023 contribution period. processes.”
