Remember the words (France 2): Eliminated after 59 wins, Charlotte gives us her feelings

Substituted on March 9, Charlotte surrenders after eliminating Louis. She agreed to chat with us about her journey and, sadly, her defeat.

You finish in the top 10 in 7th. What was your goal when entering the game?

I didn’t want to set any goals to avoid putting pressure on myself because I’m not very resistant to it in general. My original goal was indeed to have the silver microphone, but never, even if I had secretly hoped, I said to myself. ‘I have to go to the masters’, ‘I have to do this…’, ‘I don’t go beyond that…’. I didn’t want to stress myself unnecessarily. I worked for 2 and a half years, it was a really normal thing, but I still wanted it to remain a game.

So you passed the Louis you eliminated, did you discuss it with him?

He preferred that I concentrate during my journey. she told me ‘I don’t write to you too much so that you can focus and not bother you’. But when I lost, we discussed a lot of things, including the broadcast of the program. He was very careful.

Do you realize how far you’ve come in the rankings?

I think the moment I noticed the most was when I saw myself in college for the first tournament. There, I had tears in my eyes and I said to myself ‘Okay, you followed your dream and got what you wanted’. It was the moment when I really realized what I was doing the most.

What will you do with your 366,000 Euro earnings?

It is true that it is very large. I thought of a few things before starting my journey. Last year, my wife and I bought a house that we started to renovate. For the moment we have only renovated the lower part and therefore we want to take care of the upper part as well as the garden. I had plans to take my grandmother, who supported me a lot during the revisions, to the Biathlon World Championship. And professionally, in addition to my job as a speech therapist, I want to continue training in therapy. Moreover, my patients are very happy and proud of my journey.

How did you experience elimination? What did you miss?

I was in the chair, I had never been kicked out of my points… This had never happened to me, so I said to myself ‘The hula wind is spinning’. Honestly, I didn’t expect to be able to sing the same song. I was preparing my speech in my head, and when I finally got up from the chair, I realized that I could sing. I think I was so depressed that I couldn’t reactivate myself and that’s why I stuttered. Anyway, I was expecting to leave at some point so it wasn’t a big surprise either. I would never have guessed that I would go this far, and I thought to myself.you won everything (Laughs)!

You said you didn’t watch social media when you were on the show. How did you experience the attacks on the web?

I was watching at the beginning when I eliminated Louis, who I knew was very popular on the networks. It may not show up on screen because I’m so focused, but I’m so sorry to end your adventure. It was a really tough fight for myself and what really hurt me was that I always try to do things well so as not to hurt anyone and I found myself attacked on many points… In that moment, I said to myself: I wasn’t going to self-flagellate, and because I realized we couldn’t please everyone, I turned to social networks. I chose to stop going.

you attended the first Masters Tournament. How did that happen ?

For not making too many cuts on my revisions don’t forget the lyricsI thought I could go by myself. Afterwards, I admit I was a little hesitant, I thought about how the others would be, how the atmosphere would be… Finally, things went well because Manon and Louis were new too. really good but when it was my turn I was a little stressed (laughs). Everyone was so kind, super nice!
