In this new ad, the Gone Girl star is seen coming to Dunkin, her favorite coffee spot, to shoot a commercial.
“I’m here for the Dunkin’ Run… commercial”says. “Good deal – great coffee, a donut for a dollar. I mean, very cool. So I thought it would be real, I’m advertising, but am I advertising?”
As he speaks, the two donut shop workers behind the counter seem confused.
Ben Affleck adds: “You know, I don’t advertise. I’m a real actor. It’s an art to me.”
He immediately realizes that they do not know him.
“I know you. The departed“, recommends one employee to another.
“Spies”repeats Affleck, a little uncomfortable with the misunderstanding.
“A barista from Dunkin asks him: “Do you play in The Departed?”
Ben Affleck nods and smiles. “I’m Matt Damon”said.
One of the servers is in a hurry to respond: “I love it”To which Ben Affleck responded by nodding in disapproval. “No, I mean some of his work”said.
“He had a very consistent career.” adds Dunkin’ employee, causing Ben Affleck to groan in frustration.
The clip ends with Jennifer Lopez’s husband walking out of the store with a large iced coffee and a scone.
Ben Affleck directed this commercial himself after starring in a Super Bowl commercial for the company. In the first commercial, the actor is seen wearing a full Dunkin’ suit taking orders at a Dunkin’ Donuts drive-in service in Massachusetts. At one point his wife, Jennifer Lopez, stands by the window and asks him what he is doing.
Despite his frown, Ben Affleck proves to have a great sense of humor, especially when he attends social events like the recent Grammy Awards.
