"This irresponsibility has turned our lives upside down." : Mother of little boy injured in Palmade case speaks

In an interview with BFMTV, the mother of 6-year-old Devrim, who was seriously injured in the accident caused by Pierre Palmade, told about the painful process he went through while his wife was in the hospital.

A family was plunged into tragedy. On February 10, Pierre Palmmade caused a serious traffic accident while driving under the influence of cocaine. Justice decided to charge the comedian for “murder and unintentional injury.” A pregnant woman (who lived only a few minutes) lost her baby in the accident, while a father and young son were seriously injured.

On Tuesday, March 21, BFMTV aired an interview with little Devrim, who was seriously injured in his jaw. The six-year-old talked about his daily life, which was inevitably affected by this tragedy. “The teacher won’t let me go out during breaks. He is afraid that I will fall or something will happen to me. He lets other classmates come to the classroom and play with me (…) I eat soup and milk. I can’t eat very hard or sour things” she admitted. Devrim’s mother also wanted to speak into the microphone of the news channel. While her husband was still in the hospital, she did not hesitate to express all her anger at Pierre Palmade’s screw.

I’m not very good psychologically. I started going to a psychologist. I can’t sleep at night anymore. I am unhappy. Because of this irresponsible man who has turned our whole lives upside down (…) I am all alone at night to put the children to sleep. It was my husband who did this before. The children no longer want to sleep in their beds because they no longer have a father (…) I hope it will be the same as before, my husbandsaid.
