Stranger things fans can’t wait to see how this supernatural series wraps up with the upcoming fifth and final season. There’s no doubt that things are going to get really interesting for these characters, and in a recent tweet, the writers teased what’s to come in a very strange way!
The writing team described the next chapter in the story: “Season five is like seasons one and four have a baby. And then that baby was injected with steroids.”
I’m not exactly sure what that means, but I’m all for whatever it is, and I can’t wait to see it! Some fans on social media are speculating that this means the Byers family, which includes Will, Jonathan, and Joyce, will get more screen time in the new season.
While we don’t know much about what the story will involve, we do know that Will will be the “main focus” of season five, as the final episodes “return to season one.” Matt Duffer previously said, “We’re starting to see his coming of age, really, which has been difficult for a variety of reasons; some of which are supernatural. But you’re starting to see him come of age.”
Ross Duffer He added, “I think you’ll see that with a couple of character arcs, not just with Will. But also with Steve and Nancy, and his relationship with Jonathan, where things aren’t fully resolved. The characters have perhaps taken steps , as was the case with Will, but that journey isn’t over yet, and that’s going to play a huge part as we try to wrap this thing up next season.
Noah Schnapp he also said: “I can only tell you that I am very very excited for what is to come. I think they have done a great job with the character of Will this season, and they have dealt with everything beautifully that they needed to. The way they have closed the show is just perfect: the story began with Will and will end with Will.”
At present, the scripts are still in development and filming for the final season has yet to begin. Filming on the series is said to resume in late May or early June.
