Saturday Night Live: Sarah Paulson and Pedro Pascal Play Teachers in Love in Sketch Poking Fun by TikTok Fan Edits

Sarah Paulson made a surprise appearance Saturday night liveteamed up with Pedro Pascal for a sketch that mocked the younger generation for their online habits.

In the sketch, Pascal plays a high school teacher named Mr. Ben giving a presentation on using technology to his students. He tells students there’s a new rule that they can’t “fancam” teachers, before showing them a video of him that a student allegedly made of him, to the tune of an SZA song SNL Sketch in December, “Cuffing Season,” which went viral on TikTok.

“No, skinny legend, why are you doing this?” Bowen Yang’s character complains. Pascal replies, “You’ve done thousands of fancams of me and I’m not sure what that means.”

The students begin to explain that they are doing the fancams because he is their “lover” while Pascal tries to understand if the videos are positive or not.

“I want to be a good teacher,” he says. “But I just don’t get it. Why should your generation make a celebrity out of everyone? Why are you filming everything?”

The children blame the Covid pandemic and declare that ‘three years of Covid will put us online forever’. They tell him that they called him “Dad” and that another teacher, Mrs. Jenny, is “Mum.”

Enter Paulson, who plays Mrs. Jenny. “Guys, we told you. There’s nothing going on between me and Mr. Ben,” she says as she pauses for the audience’s applause.

But Pascal breaks through quite quickly and admits: “Mrs. Jenny and I are in love.” She adds: “He is father. I am mother No more crumbs.”
