Marie Perarnau: "I am on leave from National Education to devote myself to La Maison des maternales."

Agathe Lecaron’s seven seasons accomplice, the columnist distills advice and tips for improving families’ daily lives with the kindness that characterizes her.

You came at the same time as Agathe Lecaron in 2016. Did he bring you in his suitcase?

Marie Perarnau: Not possible! I used to be a blogger and I made funny parenting lozenges. I went through a casting to integrate into the program in 2012 but I was pregnant at the time (she is a mother of four, editor’s note), this did not happen. Then in 2016, when the new formula came in, the producer called me back and I joined the team.

You have also been a school teacher since 2005…

Yes. I’m off from the National Education to dedicate myself to the show, but maybe I’ll teach again one day? Unfortunately, this profession I love has no value, and I almost feel more useful on television in my mission to support and share experiences.

Alongside your columns, you wrote a book called Marabout. Who is he talking to?

It is aimed at parents of 0-6 year olds where everything is at stake. I’ve compiled all the little phrases and all the advice I’ve been told that has helped me. In general, if you love your children and nothing is serious except pathologies. We need a few crutches to move in the right direction.
