EXCLUSIVE: Arsonists set fire to car of Irish woman who claims she was attacked on Conor McGregor’s yacht in Ibiza

A woman who claimed she was attacked on mixed martial artist Conor McGregor’s yacht set her car on fire, MailOnline can reveal.

Samantha Murphy, 40, filed a civil and criminal lawsuit against McGregor following the alleged incident last summer.

Ms Murphy claims she broke an arm after being forced to jump from McGregor’s yacht while anchored off the coast of the Spanish island of Formentara.

Details of the incident emerged a few days ago, but MailOnline has learned that Irish police officers are also investigating the attack on her car earlier this month.

A statement from Irish police to MailOnline said: “Gardai are investigating an alleged criminal arson which occurred at around 10pm on Thursday 19 January 2023 at a residential building at 12 Drimnagh, Dublin.

“No injuries were reported in this incident. No arrests have been made at this time. It is being researched.’

It is not known whether the two incidents are related to each other and the police are apparently “open-minded” about the incident, which took place in a leafy residential area.

At the same time, MailOnline has also learned that Ms Murphy has lodged a civil complaint at the High Court in Dublin, which will be heard on February 27, against 34-year-old McGregor in relation to the alleged hunting incident.

The case was filed the day after the arson and involves the safekeeping of CCTV footage, camera phone footage and other physical evidence relevant to his claims on the yacht.

She initially reported the incident to Spanish police but detectives there archived the case but have now reopened it after a statement she made to Irish authorities was sent to them.

In it Mrs. Murphy that she and several others were invited to McGregor’s yacht last summer as part of his 34th birthday celebrations.

She says things turned violent and she suffered a broken arm and major bruises after jumping off the yacht to escape the attack.

Samantha’s mother, who declined to be named and lives not far away, told MailOnline: “She is very upset about what has happened and it has taken her a long time to come to terms with it.

“We have pictures of her injuries and she will be part of the case, she doesn’t want me to talk about it without her permission.

“We just want to wait and see what happens with the lawsuit.”

Asked about the arson, she told MailOnline: “It was very scary. I was with my daughter at the time and someone tried to set her car on fire.

“We had to call the police and they came out to take care of it and what about the case that made her very nervous.”

Her lawyer, Alvaro Blasco, confirmed to MailOnline that the case had been brought in the High Court in Dublin, but declined to go into further details of the case.

A spokesman for McGregor said he “firmly” denies any allegations made by a guest on his boat.

A woman who answered the door of Mrs Murphy’s home told MailOnline: “She’s not there. She’s gone. She doesn’t want to talk about it now.”

Neighbors said they had not seen her for “several weeks” and that no one knew about the arson on her car.

The two-time UFC champion has not fought since 2021, but is expected to make a comeback later this year after recovering from a leg injury.

In an Instagram post, his partner Dee Devlin appeared to give him a helping hand when she shared a video of the Luther Vandross ballad Never Too Much.

She wrote: “I love you dear! My everything forever.
