Bringing ventriloquism to the present day, the artist, in his third performance, deals with issues such as epidemics or paternity, always accompanied by his terrible puppet, Jean-Marc.

Should we expect an emotional roller coaster with this show?

Jeff Panaclock: Yes, totally. I think this show can surprise you in terms of humor as well. While rediscovering the comedian’s DNA, I tried to bring nuances and evoke unexpected reactions in the audience, who always wanted something new. It’s a clever mix.

Of course, your puppet the disrespectful Jean-Marc accompanies you, but there are also “surprise” guests, especially Michel Variant…

A character that didn’t originally exist. Of course, I brought it to life with my team to stage it in videos during the pandemic process. After various closures, when I saw that the languages were solved about Covid and we could laugh, I integrated it into the series.

We also meet Jean-Marc’s child. Is this a way to approach your own fatherhood?

Yes, even if Jean-Louche is a very special son! (Laughs) It was also a way of punishing Jean-Marc, having someone stronger than him for quick-wittedness. I think this relationship also appeals to many parents, especially those who are sometimes “dominated” or manipulated by their children.

You go on stage without Jean-Marc. Is this a way for you to test yourself alone?

Not at all. It’s not even a wish. There are enough comedians in Paris Square. My characters are my added value. But it’s true that I like to be alone on stage from time to time and speak candidly with the audience. A good balance assumed more than any of my previous shows. At the time, people said to themselves, “Come on, hurry up, we want to see Jean-Marc!” I was afraid of what they would say. »

Does it allow you to tell all the horrors that you can not let yourself?

I used to say no, but I think more and more that he’s my bad twin. I like it when people wonder if his words reflect the essence of my thinking. When I started, Patrick Sébastien told me to take the disrespect slider even further. This is what made our duo Jean-Marc and I successful. For this third show, I’ve completely abandoned the horses! (laughs)

Exactly, does TF1 plan to “beep” Jean-Marc?

(Laughs) No! I learned that there is a “censorship group” watching the series before it is aired and no cuts are requested. It’s definitely going to splash some people to the ceiling, but I guess it’s all humor.

Jean-Marc mocks Vitaa in the show. Did you warn him before he was on the jury with him on Mask Singer?

Yes, I sent him a message. I am a friendly and somewhat shy person in life. I didn’t want to come to the set with the ball in my stomach for fear of discovering my sketch. He got emotional that I told him. Today we are both laughing at that.
