A trailer for the father-daughter film has been released Reconstructionhero Josh O’Connor, Meghann Fahy, Amy Madigan, Kali Reis, Giglio La Torre, Nancy MorlanAND Zeilyanna Martinez. The film is written and directed by Max Walker-Silverman (A love song).
Reconstruction premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival to rave reviews.
The synopsis reads: “Reconstruction follows Dusty (Josh O’Connor), a divorced and secretive father whose ranch was destroyed in a devastating fire.
“Now living in a trailer community on a government-run campground, Dusty finds comfort with his new neighbors who have lost everything, quietly rebuilds his life and begins to reconnect with his ex-wife Ruby (Meghann Fahy) and young daughter Callie-Rose (Lily LaTorre).
“A moving portrait of resilience and human connection in the wake of loss.”
This looks like a great movie with subtle and promising performances. Check out the trailer below and watch Reconstruction when it opens in select theaters in the United States on November 14, 2025, before expanding nationwide on November 21.
