Original Scary movie franchise actresses Queen’s Hall AND Anna Faris they’re coming back for the reboot that’s headed our way. The pair will reprise their roles as Brenda and Cindy, respectively, for the Wayans Brothers’ reboot of the turn-of-the-millennium comedy franchise.
Hall and Faris said, “We can’t wait to bring Brenda and Cindy back to life and reunite with our great friends Keenen, Shawn and Marlon – three men we would literally die for (in Brenda’s case, once again).”
The new Scary movie is a big reunion, bringing the Wayans brothers together for the first time in 18 years to write a brand new original script for the series, co-writing the Miramax production with Rick Alvarez. Scary movie is gearing up for an October shoot in time for a June 12, 2026 global theatrical release via Paramount.
The proceeds amounted to almost 900 million dollars Scary movie the film franchise was developed by Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans AND Keenen Ivory Wayans. The latter wrote and directed the first two films, and will return to produce the next chapter. Marlon and Shawn wrote and starred in the first two films.
This will be the sixth film in the series, featuring Michael Tiddes set to lead. Tiddes is a longtime collaborator of Wayans, starting as an assistant White chicks. He directed three Wayans films: the satirical horror comedy A haunted house and Netflix hit films Naked AND Sextuplets.
There have been so many new horror movies since the last one came out Scary movie film, there’s tons of new material to play with. This will be a fun comeback for another generation of audiences.
