On the map – generated from 12 months of Google search data – the country names are supplemented with the occupations residents most want to find out about when considering a career change.
Searches for “how to become a pilot” and similar topped the list in 25 countries including the UK, US and Australia with a total of 930,630 searches. Writer is second with 801,200 searches, but leads in 75 countries, including India, New Zealand and South Africa.
“Dancer” ranks third, with the study showing it received 278,720 searches worldwide and is the most searched occupation in countries such as Nigeria and Ghana.
