A 37-year-old Russian DJ performing under the pseudonym DJ FЫRРИN has gone missing in Thailand after experiencing document problems, news outlet Baza reported on Telegram. The musician had lived in Pattaya for the past four years, earning money by working in local bars.
The DJ admitted to his relatives that his foreign passport was expiring. He did not want to apply for a new passport because of long queues, according to Baza.
Passport issues and family concerns
He usually called his mother regularly. However, he stopped making contact and stopped posting on social media on August 5, one day before his birthday.
His relatives suggested that police may have taken him into custody because of his expired documents.
Earlier, another report noted that a Russian tourist disappeared after traveling to Abkhazia for a vacation, prompting volunteers and police operatives to join the search.
