Three foreign men robbed passengers on a Ural Airlines flight from Yekaterinburg to Istanbul and staged a brawl on board, according to Telegram channel Baza.
The men stole from several fellow travelers before boarding was completed. A female passenger noticed a pack of money missing from her hand luggage and replaced with a dummy pack, leading her to point out the thieves to flight attendants.
When cabin crew attempted to detain the men, the suspects caused a brawl. Eyewitnesses said the three detained men appeared Asian and were traveling without registered baggage or carry-on luggage.
Police Intervention and Flight Delay
Police officers called to the aircraft removed the men from the plane and searched the luggage and belongings of the remaining passengers. The incident caused the flight to depart 30 minutes late.
The report noted an earlier incident where a passenger on a Scoot flight stole two million rubles from the bags of three travelers during a flight.
