Spanish public broadcaster RTVE has announced full broadcast coverage for La Vuelta 26, bringing the 3,275-kilometre cycling race to audiences across television, radio, and digital channels. The three-week competition begins on 22 August in Monaco and concludes on 13 September in Granada.
The demanding route includes ten mountain and medium-mountain stages, with summit finishes at Alto de Aitana and Collado del Alguacil. Slovenian rider Tadej Pogacar leads a star-studded peloton that also features Enric Mas, Mikel Landa, Felix Gall, and Richard Carapaz.

La Vuelta a España is one of professional road cycling's three annual Grand Tours, alongside the Tour de France and Giro d'Italia. Slovenian rider Pogacar arrives as the primary favourite in the general classification, while Spanish contenders Mas and Landa alongside Ecuador's Carapaz and Austria's Gall complete a formidable field.
Television and digital platform coverage
Coverage on television will follow RTVE's traditional network structure, with free-to-air channels La 1 and La 2 broadcasting the decisive final stretches of each stage. Digital platform RTVE Play will stream complete live coverage of all 21 stages through a multi-camera system offering six simultaneous live camera signals.
Journalist Carlos de Andrés and former sports director Pedro Delgado return to the commentary booth to provide race narration and tactical analysis. Field reporters Jaume Palomar and Josué Elena will provide updates from along the course and conduct interviews at the finish line.
RTVE is Spain's state-owned public broadcaster, operating national television networks, radio stations, and online services. Delgado, a former professional cyclist who won the Tour de France in 1988 and La Vuelta twice, has partnered with veteran broadcaster de Andrés for decades as the network's flagship cycling analysis team.
Radio, online and music coverage
Radio Nacional de España will deploy special correspondents Rubén Ortega and José Luis Herrero along the entire 3,275-kilometre route. Radio 1 will broadcast live coverage during the final outcome of each stage, supported by updates in standard news programming and sports shows Radiogaceta de los deportes and Tablero deportivo.
Digital coverage across RTVE portals and social media profiles will feature daily video summaries tracked under the official race hashtag. The corporation has chosen "Despierto amándote" by Argentine pop group Miranda! as the official theme song for all broadcasts and promotional trailers following their participation in the Benidorm Fest music festival.
Radio Nacional de España serves as the public radio division of RTVE, while Benidorm Fest is the annual song contest organized by the broadcaster to select Spain's Eurovision entry. Argentine synth-pop duo Miranda! provides the soundtrack to this year's coverage as the peloton travels from the Mediterranean coast of Monaco to Andalusia.
