Beatriz Luengo, Mario Vaquerizo, Silvia, and Pau Echániz reached the grand final of Maestros de la Costura Celebrity 2 as Jorge Román exited.
The semi-final episode aired on La 1 de RTVE, combining high-fashion technical rigor with emotional farewells as the show selected its final four contenders. The remaining candidates will face off next week for the show's golden mannequin trophy.

Maestros de la Costura Celebrity is Spain's premier fashion design television competition, produced by national public broadcaster Radiotelevisión Española (RTVE) on its primary channel, La 1. The celebrity spin-off format features public figures tested on pattern-making, garment construction, and creative styling under strict time constraints.
New Year design challenge
The semi-final began in the show's workshop with a conceptual challenge focused on designing a New Year's Eve outfit carrying a personal message. Contestants received masterclasses on mannequin pattern sizing and draping during the session.
Guest Lalachus joined the episode to introduce social debate alongside the creative tasks. Designer Luis de Javier made a surprise appearance during the challenge, sewing his own garment design proposal alongside the contestants.
Beatriz Luengo led the opening round with a garment inspired by the Balenciaga universe. Mario Vaquerizo finished close behind with an accurate design, while Silvia and Jorge Román received the sternest warnings from the panel of judges.
Palace tribute to Hannibal Laguna
Production then moved outside the studio to Madrid's Fernán Núñez Palace for an outdoor challenge honoring fashion designer Hannibal Laguna. The location segment celebrated Laguna's four decades in haute couture with a private runway show featuring ten of his iconic creations.
The 19th-century Fernán Núñez Palace, located in central Madrid, serves as a prominent venue for cultural exhibits and luxury fashion events. Hannibal Laguna is one of Spain's most established fashion designers, renowned internationally for red-carpet gowns and evening wear.
Tasked with replicating two of Laguna's designs in teams, the group comprising Beatriz Luengo, Mario Vaquerizo, and Silvia secured direct entry into the final. The judges praised their pattern precision and fabric selection.
In contrast, technical missteps doomed the opposing team of Pau Echániz and Jorge Román. Flaws in the drape of their cape and the finishing of the double skirt forced both contestants into the elimination challenge.
Genderless tailoring elimination duel
The decisive elimination test pitted Echániz against Román in a battle focused on new tailoring. The assignment required creating an avant-garde, genderless, and futuristic take on traditional tailoring formulated by Spanish fashion label Acromatyx.
Although expected to favor the technical skill of Echániz, the contest developed into a closely matched duel. Meticulous control of the pattern ultimately broke the tie between the two competitors.
Judges Lorenzo Caprile, María Escoté, and Luis de Javier evaluated the final garments and decided to end Román's run on the show. The decision triggered one of the most emotional farewells of the season.
Grand final for golden mannequin
Caprile and Escoté are established Spanish fashion designers who serve as regular judges on the competition, joined in the semi-final by guest designer Luis de Javier. Their verdict finalized the show's top four contestants.
Pau Echániz, Silvia, Beatriz Luengo, and Mario Vaquerizo now form the quartet advancing to the season finale next week. The four finalists will compete for the golden mannequin in a broadcast expected to test their creative and technical abilities to the limit.
