An angry crowd gathered outside a police station in Thailand on August 1, demanding the execution of two suspects accused of killing a Russian brother and sister and a Thai family of three, according to RIA Novosti.
The suspects, identified as Pong and Thong, have confessed to the killings and led police to the burial sites of their victims. The remains have been sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine at the central police hospital in Bangkok.
When the suspects were escorted out to travel to court, the crowd pushed past journalists trying to reach them. People in the crowd demanded the suspects be executed, saying that such people should not be left alive.
A Thai woman who lived near three of the victims told police that Pong had raped an underage girl in front of her bound parents before killing the family. The Thai family was buried at the same site where the Russian siblings, Roman and Diana, were later found.
The suspects’ lawyer confirmed that both men face the maximum sentence of death. The Russian siblings, surnamed Nazimov, had emigrated from Russia to Thailand roughly five years ago. Their disappearance was reported on July 26.
