A bushy-haired mother with a daughter left the hospital staff and was blown away by her newborn baby’s impressive dark brown broomstick.
Savannah Looney, 25, from Florida, gave birth to daughter Mila last September and was shocked to see that her baby already has thick brown curls.
Interior designer Savannah said Mila, now eight months old, was born with the most hair her midwife had ever seen, and doctors visited her ward to see her baby’s broomstick.
Savannah didn’t have much hair when she was born, while her 37-year-old husband, Anthony, had the same hair as Mila as a child.

Now eight months old, Mila now has impressive brown curls that her mother usually styled with a ponytail or bow.

Now eight months, Mila’s mom says she’s been doing her best to style the beautiful brown mat, but it can sometimes take on a life of its own.

Eight months later, Savannah says Mila’s bushy brown hair always gets a huge response from strangers when they’re around.
“My midwife had been working for 30 years and had never seen as much hair as Mila’s.
“The doctors kept wearing it to show off her hair after she was born, they were pretty surprised. Her hair was a big surprise to us as we never saw her in her scans.
“When I was pregnant, all my friends said they couldn’t wait to see her hair because of me and Anthony’s hair. I always said that he would probably be bald, but of course I was wrong.
Savannah dismissed the ex-wife’s story that pregnant women with heartburn probably had hairy babies, saying, “I’ve never had heartburn, so it’s definitely a myth!” she insisted.

Savannah has trouble washing Mila’s hair when it’s bath time, as her baby is so small that she often tilts her head in the wrong direction.
Today, Savannah does her best to style Mila’s hair, but sometimes she has a mind of her own.
She said: “Some people get a headboard, but Mila gets a stroller head. People joke about her all the time because she looks crazy when she gets out of the wheelchair.
“I usually put it in a ponytail or use it to style it using a bow in her hair.”
Savannah also has trouble washing Mila’s hair when it’s time for a bath.
He said: ‘It is very difficult to wash because he is so young. It’s impossible to try to tilt her head in the right direction so that I can rinse off her shampoo, she’s just having fun.

Mila’s lock of hair from the back left is often rebellious and difficult for Savannah to tame – as her daughter in the right picture has very long hair, who has trouble taking a bath.

Pictured on the beach with her family, Mila has only had one haircut since she was born and currently has around 6 inches of hair.
“It’s also super curly when wet, which is sweet.”
Savannah says Mila’s hair always gets a huge response from strangers when they’re around.
He said: “I can’t go to the store with him because it takes 45 minutes longer when he’s with me. Everyone wants to stop me and talk about her hair and how beautiful she is.
“He had about an inch of hair when he was born, and I’m probably about six inches now. I’ll cut it soon.’
