A bar owner was criticized for introducing a policy that required his employees to wear red stickers when they got their period.
Anthony, a small business owner, went to the Kyle and Jackie O show on Friday morning to discuss potential politics and tell his side of the story.
The bar owner said he thought female staff wearing stickers were a “great” way to identify when they needed “extra space”, as it’s hard for men to know that there are “women’s issues” on staff.
“This is humiliating,” said Jackie O. “We don’t want it advertised.”

The real problem arose when a male manager got into a fight with a waitress and attributed her short temper and excitement to her menstrual period.
When Jackie O asked how he wanted to advertise to customers, Anthony replied that he was considering hanging a sign outside the bar.
The bar owner also said that he conveyed this idea to his employees, but they were not very happy with it.
“Men can be scumbags too,” said Jackie O. “What would you suggest we do with them?”
“Men are not hormonal like women,” Anthony replied.

But Jackie O had no sympathy.
“You think the problem is with women, if we’re having a bad day, we get periods.”
“The whole situation is ridiculous,” he added. “You’re making a big problem out of one accident: you have to move on.”
But Anthony had another clue that made Jackie O blush.
“What if we hang a calendar in the teacher’s room?” churches.
“NO,” said Jackie O. “I’ve worked with so many grumpy men, I’m worse than any woman.”

The radio show duo then presented the questions to the audience and invited people to talk about the situation.
The first person he called, Darren, described the owner of the cafe as “a tough misogynist with mother issues”.
Next up was Bella, the project manager. “You’re the most insensitive idiot ever,” she said.
He continued: “Everyone in your world is so retarded and I hope everyone you know is embarrassed.”
The project manager suggested asking the female staff if they wanted space or a spare hour, but Anthony declined as it was “bad business practice” because no one could serve customers.
He called women “hysterical”, “hormonal” and “difficult to understand” and could not really understand why using stickers to indicate whether or not they were menstruating was a problem.
“You’re an idiot and a misogynist,” Jackie O finally said.
