Mike Tindall said the oddities of stealing Prince Louis’ show during his jubilee show were due to high blood sugar.
The 43-year-old former rugby player talked about the celebrations on the podcast The Good, The Bad and The Rugby, which he hosted with his former teammate James Haskell and TV host Alex Payne.
The athlete, who is married to 41-year-old Zara Tindall, made headlines after jokingly watching the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s youngest son in Sunday’s election.
Four-year-old Prince Louis put on an animated show dressed as a lion, arguing with his cousins and even showing his tongue to his mother, 40, Kate Middleton.
On the podcast, Tindall sympathized with Louis, saying that the election for the little royal was long overdue and that all the royal children were “going to the peak of sugar” by eating candy.
Former rugby player Mike Tindall, 43, said Prince Louis’ quirks at the Jubilee Contest were due to his high sugar levels, as reflected in the celebrations on his podcast.

A very lively Louis is seen, right, sharing candy with his sister Prince Charlotte and 11-year-old cousins Savannah Phillips and three-year-old Lena Tindall.
Mike and his wife, Zara, attended the show with their two oldest daughters, Mia, eight, Lena, and three and one-year-old Lucas.
Attending with seven-year-old Prince Charlotte and eight-year-old Prince George and their parents, Prince Louis sat next to his mother, Kate, but struggled to stay in place during the entire afternoon show.
Having two children under the age of four, Mike sympathized with little Cambridge.
“Louis, he just wanted to have fun. And the two of me are always rude, so the effort to keep an eye on him,” said the father of three.
The athlete added that Louis’ visible stimulation may have been due to the candies that the children liked during the show.
“There was a lot of sugar in the back, so it was a real sugar high.”
Mike went on to say that staying quiet during the show was “hard” for the young royal family.

Mike said the contest was “tough” for the small royal family as the event was lengthy. Young royals had loads of candy too

Four-year-old Prince Louis did an animated show during the parade and had to be led by his mother, 40-year-old left-handed Kate Middleton, and several other adult members of the royal family.
“They’re all young…it’s been a long time. But as all parents know, you just do what needs to be done.”
Mike was the royal family’s MVP at their anniversary celebration, and fans have called him “funny and funny uncle” after posting a series of hilarious photos.
In addition to entertaining a rebellious Prince Louis, Mike joked about Princess Eugenie’s fashion sense and chatted with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during the royal celebrations in London.
Mike diligently accompanied Zara to five different events over the four days of the weekend: Trooping the Color, the Service of Thanksgiving, Epsom Derby, Platinum Party and Platinum Pageant.

His quirks stole the show from the parade when he saw Louis sticking out his tongue while mimicking a lion during the festivities.

During the Platinum Challenge, father-of-three Mike was also caught enjoying an affectionate moment with his eight-year-old daughter, Mia Tindall.
And Mike always came out with the typical cheerful spirit and was ready to help any real boy.
Although Mike and Zara have no official duties, they are regular guests at royal family events such as church services and milestones such as anniversaries. Princess Anne’s royal mansion is in Gatcombe Park in Gloucestershire.
Some of the funniest shots Mike took during his four-day Jubilee vacation were photos he posted on Instagram of Zara wearing her hats.
These include the father of three, who donned his wife’s fuchsia cap after attending Trooping the Color on Thursday, and his head with bright red flowers after Thanksgiving at St Paul’s on Friday.
Then on Saturday, the old athlete swapped his top hat for a blue one from Zadar as the two attended the Epsom racecourse before that night’s concert.
The captions of the images showed the royal checking out a to-do list each day, referring to the days of celebration they coincided with.
