Sean Baker’s Anora leads the nominations at the 2025 Vancouver Film Critics Circle Awards. His team is competing for five awards at once.
Baker’s screwball comedy received nominations for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actress for Maika Madison and Best Supporting Actor for Yura Borisov, the Hollywood Reporter reported.
Anora will be up against Brady Corbet’s Brutalist, Jesse Eisenberg’s True Hurt and James Mangold’s Nobody at the Vancouver Film Critics Circle Awards.
Let us also remind you that Yura Borisov was recently nominated for the Online Film Critics Society (OFCS) award in the “Best Supporting Actor” category. Another important nomination of Yura Borisov was presented with the prestigious BAFTA award.
