According to Miller, there are no benefits to being a first-time director, even if you’re making a superhero movie starring Ryan Reynolds. “You might not know, but it’s actually not very profitable to be a first-time director in Hollywood. I made $225,000 for Deadpool. I know that sounds like a lot of money, but for two years of work, it’s not that much. My agent was like, “Dude, you make more money than one episode of The Walking Dead!” he said. Miller told Collider.
