Crow director Rupert Sanders is angry about the comments about his work, particularly concerned about comparisons to the 1994 film.
Sanders claims that he is filming a comic book adaptation and is not trying to repeat the cult film that came out 30 years ago, but many viewers began to compare it in detail with its predecessor even before the film’s release.
“It has the grit, the weirdness, the disorientation that was in the movie before it. But we made independent movies. Some people should write less commentary and try to create something valuable for themselves,” Entertainment Weekly quotes Sanders.
However, the director explained this by replacing all firearms in the action movie with dummies and airsoft guns, fearing for the safety of the workers on the set. However, it is worth remembering that the shooting of the 1994 film “The Crow” ended in tragedy: Brandon Lee, who played the main role, was shot dead on set.
