Our Answer to “The Avengers”: An Animated Series “Russian Superheroes” Will Be Released in Russia

The heroes of the ambitious project will be the “holy warrior” Yaga, nanotechnology and alchemy enthusiast Koschey, environmentalist Leshy and Dazhdbog’s son Peresvet. The animated series will be released by Iranian studio Sky Frame.

Two animated projects will be released simultaneously: a 3D show for viewers aged six and older is also being prepared. The authors of the project claim that the idea of ​​”Russian Superheroes” has no analogues in the world. According to the Film Distributor Bulletin, the project is already called the domestic “Avengers” on the Internet.

Production could begin as early as this year. Each show will consist of 52 episodes. It is expected to instill in children a love of Russian culture and devotion to national values.

It is also planned to release a series of comics. The first issues are on sale: they tell about the adventures of Zarya, Baba Yaga and Ermak. There will be about 10 of them by the end of the year.

“We also hope to have the first volume of the five-volume series that we are currently finishing come out by the end of October. It will be a big story where we will tell the story of the creation of the Universe,” said author Oleg Roy.

We previously wrote that Soyuzmultfilm is working on creating a media franchise based on the original universe of Russian superheroes. The project even has a name: “The Order of the Red Star.”
