The RSPCA is forever seeking a home for a hybrid Whippet Border Collie puppy that has returned to the western branch of Cumbria for the third time.
Il Specchio reports that puppy Mabel is only a few months old, but is already on her way to her third home. While awaiting a new family to bring home, it is currently sponsored by the RSPCA Cumbria West Branch.
Branch says he loves nothing but attention and affection and desperately wants a family to show him what it’s like to be loved.

Mabel with bat ears is just a puppy and she’s looking for someone to give her a shot. She loves nothing but attention and affection but gets very excited
With bat ears, Mabel is a short-haired black hound dog described by the RSPCA as an “energetic young woman”.
The RSPCA said in a statement that she needed someone who could spend a lot of time with her because she was “desperate for attention”.
He said he just needed a chance. It will take some getting used to in a new place.’
The puppy likes to learn new tricks and reacts, listens well and corrects like an adult dog.
However, since he is just a puppy, he is over-stimulated and loves to bark and jump at guests. This means that he cannot currently live with small children as he is prone to gnawing.
“This may change over time, as she loves children,” the animal association said, and recommended that another dog help her on her own and help her learn.

Animal Welfare says Mabel needs a lot of encouragement and attention. Not the type of dog that is taken for a walk and expected to sleep the rest of the day.

However, since Mable is just a puppy, she gets very excited and barks and loves to pounce on guests. This means she cannot currently live with small children as she is prone to biting.
Mabel needs to be kept busy, and the description adds: “She needs work. Agility might be the best way to get his attention, but it could potentially train sheep or chase people.”
It was concluded that he is not just a dog you can go for a walk and needs to sleep through the rest of the day because he needs a lot of stimulation to get the most out of it.
Mabel needs a safe open space where she can run and play.
As shelters continue to fill with unwanted animals, the RSPCA has sent an important message to families that they are considering getting a furry friend.

As shelters continue to fill with unwanted animals, the RSPCA has sent an important message to families considering adopting a furry friend.

The RSPCA explained that when you adopt a pet from them, you can expect it to be healthy, spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.
“While it can be easy to find pets online, and spend hundreds of them on an expensive breeder, there is a risk of boredom and high veterinary costs if you don’t do your homework,” the statement said.
“By adopting and not shopping, you also feel good about doing favors – giving a pet a second chance at life in a loving home!”
The RSPCA also explains that when adopting an animal, they can be expected to be healthy, spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.
In addition, the animal association will provide detailed information about the pet’s behavior and veterinary treatment.
They will also include as much information as possible about the history of the rescued animal; this is often more than if you bought an animal online.
The RSPCA says they take the time to get to know each animal they consider individuals so they can understand their likes and dislikes, which prepares them for life in a loving home.
The statement concluded: “If you adopt a cat or dog from one of our centers, you will also receive the four weeks of free pet insurance necessary to protect your pet’s future and your bank account! There’s a lot to be gained by rescuing an animal in need.’
