A health coach shared how to perfect a delicious DIY McDonald’s dessert to enjoy while running until Easter.
Then she opened the hot cross bun and turned the soft part upside down and pressed the vanilla ice cream halfway into the bun.
Bec closed the sandwich and enjoyed her delicious 389-calorie homemade ice cream sandwich.
“It was delicious and the perfect Easter treat,” Bec said in the recipe video.
Here’s how to make Bec’s hot cross bun ice cream sandwich:
Materials:
vanilla ice cream cone
Hot tart stuffed with fruit
Method:
- Order vanilla ice cream and a hot sandwich from McDonald’s.
- Open the hot cross bun and turn the ice cream over and press the vanilla soft serve into half of the bun.
- Close the sandwich and enjoy before the ice cream melts.

Bec closed the hot cross bun and savored the 389-calorie homemade ice cream sandwich, “it was delicious and the perfect Easter treat,” she said.
Earlier this year, the health coach unveiled another treat on TikTok that’s perfect for snacking this Easter season, with just 189 calories each.
Bec used traditional Coles mini donuts and two Cadbury Caramilk chocolate squares to make the decadent snack.
She placed a sliced hot cross bun in her Airfryer and placed a square of caramel on each half until it melted.

In the clip, she made “caramel butter” by melting a square of caramel on a hot muffin cut in half before spreading it evenly. The alternative has 71 fewer calories than the new Caramilk hot buns sold at Woolworths.
She rubbed the melted chocolate into the warm half of the cross bun and pinned them together to savor.
The snack idea is perfect for those who want a tasty treat but don’t want to increase their daily calorie intake.
This trick gives you fresh and warm cross buns with delicious melted “caramelized butter” for far fewer calories! You can fry them in the microwave or in the air, but I find them a little crunchy,” she wrote online.
Here’s how to make Bec’s Karamilk Hot Cross Buns:
