Jake Kanter returns to Deadline as editor of International Investigations

Jake Kanter has returned to Deadline as International Investigations Editor in London.

Kanter returns to Deadline after serving as media correspondent for the Times of London since August 2021. During his time at the original British paper, he headlined the BBC, Channel 4 and Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.

Before that he was our international television editor for two years, during which he wrote a number of exclusive articles about some of the leading companies and organizations in Europe. His deep insight into the disappearance of TV producer Terrence Woods was one of Deadline’s most read stories of 2020. He also played a key role in the creation of Deadline’s The Film That Lit My Fuse series and our international Insider newsletter.

Kanter was previously UK executive editor at Business Insider, where he ran a London agency of 60, and news editor at UK trade magazine Broadcast. He was president of the British Broadcasting Press Guild for three years.

In his new role at Deadline, Kanter will focus on international deep dives, investigations, premieres and news-oriented articles. He will also contribute as an editor and with Op Dagboek messages. He will work closely with the entire international team and will report to Deadline’s international editor, Andreas Wiseman, and Deadline’s associate editors-in-chief, Mike Fleming and Nellie Andreeva. he is downstairs [email protected] accessible.
