Wednesday, the Netflix series directed (among others) by Tim Burton and centered on the adolescence of Wednesday Addams, the adored daughter of Gomez and Morticia Addams, has been buzzing since its launch last November 23 – according to the streaming platform, over 50 million families are said to have watched the first season. The lead, played by actress Jenna Ortega, is praised as much for her shocking lines as for the gothic-inspired aesthetic of her dresses. And as for her makeup! We gathered information on Wednesday’s beauty look, and more precisely on the products used to highlight her pout.

A mouth as dark as the soul of Wednesday
In a video posted on TikTok, which to date has more than 2.5 million views, pop culture and beauty content creator Cat Quinn exclusively reveals the products used by Tara McDonaldthe show’s makeup artist, to give Jenna Ortega’s lips a natural look like a bitten mouth: “The idea was for her to appear to have naturally dark lips. I didn’t want it to look [que Mercredi] wear lipstick,” the makeup artist tells the magazine Cosmopolitan.

To achieve this look, Tara McDonald started by redesigning the American actress’s mouth with the MAC Nightmoth pencil, then blend the material towards the inside of the lips before applying a clear balm by DR.PAWPAW (€8.45 for 25ml). Simple and terribly effective.
