Gary Oldman has revealed that he plans to retire when his role on Slow Horses ends because he doesn’t want to be “active” in his 80s.
“I’m turning 65 next year, 70 very soon. I don’t want to be active when I’m 80.”

The 64-year-old actor confessed in a new interview, talking about his desire to “hang” his acting shoes and focus on “other interests” later in life.
Referring to his current role in the spy drama Slow Horses, Gary said, “I would be so happy, proud and privileged if I walked away as Jackson Lamb and then hung up.”

Gary also said of his acting career in general: “I’ve had an enviable career, but careers are dwindling and there are other things that interest me besides acting. When you’re young you think you can do anything and then years go by.”
Recall that Gary has appeared in more than 180 films throughout his career, and his projects include roles such as Sirius Black in various episodes of Harry Potter, Zorg in The Fifth Element, Sid in Nancy, Norman Stansfield in “Leone, Winston” In Dark Times Churchill et al.
