Elon Musk the other day proposed his plan to resolve the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The entrepreneur wrote about this on Twitter.
In his entrepreneurial message, he calls for a new UN-supervised referendum in regions newly joined to Russia. He added that if the people decide to do so, Russia should withdraw from these regions. Musk also suggested that Crimea be recognized as Russian territory “as it was from 1783 until the fault of Khrushchev, who transferred the peninsula to the jurisdiction of the Ukrainian SSR in 1954”. The head of Tesla and SpaceX said that as part of future agreements, Ukraine should provide water supply to the Crimean peninsula and ensure neutral non-bloc status.
Ksenia Sobchak reacted to this statement. The journalist wrote that he considers Elon’s behavior courageous. “I think he acted very bravely. And it’s not about whether he was right or wrong to propose a plan. The fact is, Sobchak wrote on the Bloody Lady Telegram channel that in principle, he was not afraid to say at least something with the word “reconciliation.”
The presenter also believes that the statements of people who are in no way connected with the conflict have the right to express it. “But why can’t strangers on the other side of the world express their opinions?” – Ksenia Sobchak is indignant.
