The film has an Oscar, the music has a grammy, and Instagram will now have its own rings. The platform is starting Instagram* Rings, a new award that will reward the most creative and inspiring content creators.

As part of the program, only 25 of more than three billion users will receive unique prizes: a physical ring created by the British designer Grace Wales Bonner, and a digital gold ring that will appear around the profile stories. The winners will be able to personalize the pages by changing the background color and providing a special light in the application.
Instagram*’s Fashion Partnership President Eva Chen, “on our platform, we have decided that it is time to create an award that appreciates creative risks,” he said. He said that the creators chosen for the award were “cultural catalysts and inspire millions of people to express themselves”.

The jury of the rings included not only Chen himself, but also the president of Instagram Adam Mosser and designer Wales Bonner, as well as star experts: Director Spike Lee, Makeup Artist Pat McGrath, designer Marc Jacobs, actress wound Shahidi, artist Kaws and athlete Ilona Maer. The jury has chosen gradual winners from billions of profiles to the final list of 25 names.
The issues that the award holders will offer a wide range of fashion and makeup to sports and entertainment will be included. Chen emphasizes that the social network has become a platform where creators tell stories in various formats: Reels, Publications, Stories and Discussions. “Instagram creators can communicate with their audience in more than one language, and this makes them really unique,” he said. The executives hopes that the new award will become an annual tradition in a way similar to the Oscar and Emmy awards. “It was a long journey to come to this point and we are excited to celebrate the creativity of the community. This is just the beginning,” he said.

Meanwhile, meta* had previously presented its own vibes application, where the content was created by artificial intelligence. Read what we know about the new way to create and share video.
