5 Most Striking Moments from Paris Fashion Week

Paris closes the parade of fashion weeks and we summarize and select the brightest moments of Paris Fashion Week.
Numerous exits, disappointments and enthusiastic reviews – and all this can only be said about the Glenn Martens collection for Maison Margiela.

Separately, we discussed both Mathieu Blazi for Chanel and the Jonathan Anderson collection for Dior, after which the entire fashion industry remained very happy. Now it’s time to remember the brightest moments of Fashion Week in Paris, wipe away the tears of sorrow from Balenciaga fans in Demna and note the most fashionable accessories in the mouth.

Lotta Volkova Orders

Miu Miu again offers us an unusual style. This time with Soviet aprons on sweaters, vests, dresses and even jackets. Stylist of the brand Lotta Volkov, Photographer Helgi was inspired by Paris women at work. Most of the pictures were taken in the GDR sewing factory in the 1980s, hence the similarity of the aprons with the Soviet uniform. So far, we can only dream of such gowns on Ole Karput and Masha Komarova, but the success of Kylie Jenner as a Miu Miu girl with such an accessory looks doubtful.

Evrim Trad Wves

Spring Collection August Barron makes it clear that Trad Wves should not be perfect anymore. Now they are glamorous, slightly constricted and resemble Barbie dolls seeing life. You can also forget about perfect curls. Leave your hair curled as a sign of what you tried, but the dream turned out to be more important.

Lux in the mouth

The new creative director of Maison Margiela Glenn Martens decided not to bother with clothing design, so the collection received ambiguous reviews like “no”. Instead, the designer took the models’ mouths and added stitches inside them, making them look like a brand logo. The reaction of fashionistas was even more contradictory: some advised Glenn to open his mouth only at the dentist, others called his performances about models and screams.

Ugly shoes go to a new level

At the helm of the fashion house Loewe are now Jack McCallow and Lazaro Ernandez – and undoubtedly the brand is in safe hands. In the new season, designers predict us a trend for the ugliest shoes. No ideal hairpins and boats are just special transparent shoes with a toe inside. The toe is optional, of course, especially if you have a shiny pedicure. If not, you’ll need to fork out for on-trend socks in bright orange.

Live without suite and it’s enough

The Julie Kegel brand has created a new trend that everyone can afford. You no longer need to save eight paychecks to buy Cartier or Tiffany. Just print the gem and stick it on yourself. It is worth noting that it looks stylish and ironic. Olga Karput had already tested the trend, appearing at Pierpaolo Piccioli’s first show for Balenciaga in a trademark gun dress and a gold necklace stuck around her neck.
