Russian actor and director Sergei Puskepalis died in an accident in the Yaroslavl region. He was 56 years old. The death of the player was reported by the telegram channel Baza and other sources.

The accident occurred on the M-8 highway in the afternoon of September 20. According to preliminary information, the cause of the accident was the exit to the opposite lane, while a truck and a car collided. While the actor and his driver lost their lives, the truck driver is in intensive care.

Sergei Puskepalis is a Soviet and Russian actor, theater and film director, artistic director of the Yaroslavl Volkov Theater, Honored Artist of Russia.

As an actor, he became famous thanks to his shootings in the films “Simple Things” and “How I Spent This Summer” by Alexei Popogrebsky, after which he began to act a lot in films. Among his famous works are “Metro”, “Life and Fate”, “Battle for Sevastopol”.

Sergei Puskepalis was survived by his wife Elena and son Gleb.
