Miley Cyrus is being sued for using her paparazzi photo. Photographer Robert Barbera discovered a self-portrait of the singer on his social networks last year. Reported by Bloomberg Law.

The photographer claims that Cyrus violated copyright: the singer did not ask permission to publish the frame and did not officially purchase it. In this regard, Barbera decided to sue Miley. The documents say that, according to the photographer, the singer financially benefited from the publication of her copyright-infringing picture, which increased traffic to her account and revenue from music sales.

He states that “inappropriate use of photography undermines, if not destroys, its potential to sell images.” Robert Barbera seeks compensation.

By the way, this year the same photographer sued Dua Lipa for using her photo. Then they managed to resolve the issue out of court: the singer deleted the picture of Robert Barber. He tried to resolve the same issue through the courts with Justin Bieber and Arina Grande.
