Her ex-husband allegedly hatched a clear plan to take over the winery “in retaliation for divorce proceedings and for custody of their joint children.” Documents obtained in court also state that Brad Pitt used his large financial stake in Angelina Jolie’s winery to force him to “sign a confidentiality agreement” that could force him not to disclose the details of their marriage.
The lawsuit also states that after the divorce, Brad Pitt and the managers of the Chateau Miraval winery “spent tens of millions of dollars on unprofitable projects.” For example, more than a million dollars were spent on the construction of the pool, the reconstruction of the walls without the consent of Angelina Jolie. The Hollywood actor took full control of the winery and allegedly devised a plan to secretly transfer his assets to their company.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s relentless battle over the kids has been in the courtroom for the five years since their divorce in 2016.
