The end of summer doesn’t mean the end of the beach season. There are many places where you can swim without a visa and still sunbathe and swim: perfect weather without the hellish heat, pleasantly warm sea and much less tourists. We propose to consider the resorts of Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan. Here we go?
Turkey: for every taste and color

In fact, the first half of autumn in Turkey is the best season of the year to swim and relax on the beach. Because the unbearable heat continued in July and August, especially with the large crowd of people this year. On the contrary, the sea warmed up to the ideal temperature. So you can sunbathe all day or go to interesting places without risking heatstroke (but that’s no reason to forget about SPF!).
In general, there are two main directions for a beach holiday in Turkey: the Antalya region (Antalya, Alanya, Kemer, Side) and the Aegean region (Bodrum, Marmaris, Gocek, Fethiye).
How do you decide where to go? We would split like this:
Big all-inclusive hotels, noisy clubs and parties – Antalya;
Sights of Lycia, paragliding and beaches of the Oludeniz reserve – Fethiye / Oludeniz;
A more independent, more Europeanized holiday, an atmosphere close to Greek, trips to the islands – Marmaris and Datça peninsula;
Expensive boutique hotels and gastronomic restaurants – Bodrum. Of course, there are hotels of different levels, but there are a lot of five-star hotels at the European level. And if we talk about modern gastronomy, then perhaps Bodrum has no equal among the seaside resorts. The only thing: renting a car is very useful, because there are many great restaurants in hotels scattered around the peninsula near Bodrum (for example, Mandarin Oriental, Bodrum and Macakizi boutique hotel);

Yachts – The whole Aegean region with its indented coastline and many beautiful islands: Fethiye, Göcek, Marmaris, Bodrum.
The bonus of the Aegean region is the opportunity to go to the Greek island of Rhodes if you have Schengen.

Georgia: mild subtropics

Batumi, Georgia’s main beach resort, is a very eclectic place. There is a multi-kilometer American-style embankment with modern high-rise hotels, the historic Turkish district and Soviet quarters. In general, in Batumi you will see what you want: for example, the embankment is so large that if you check into a hotel right above it, you can stay anywhere during the whole holiday and at the same time find something new every day. . Parks, restaurants, the best clubs in the city, open-air cinema – everything is here. But in any case, we advise you to go out at least once to go to the Botanical Garden – it consists of amazing plants from all over the world and is located on a mountain, so the views from there are spectacular. And one more thing – go to the Piazza in the old town: it really looks like an Italian.
As for the weather, the best time in Batumi is the first half of September. However, the risk of rain increases from the second half. But in general, if you like a mild subtropical climate, you will definitely like Batumi in September.
Azerbaijan: sandy beaches and long season

The main part of beaches – and there are at least 15 of them – is in the vicinity of Baku. And this is convenient: when you get tired of a lazy rest, you can immediately wave to the capital, examine the Maiden’s Tower and other ancient monuments, as well as the new impressive architecture of Baku.

Of the beach options, we liked Bilgah and Nardanan the most, they are beautifully flowing beaches. And you’ve probably seen these places, at least with one eye: After all, the “Heat” music festival was held at the SeaBreeze Resort & Residences hotel in Nardanan. There is also a cardiological sanatorium here, so the climate in these places is medicinal due to the combination of sea and pine.
There are paid and free beaches, but they all have clean, soft, fine sand and warm water. These regions are loved not only for their huge sandy shores, but also for the long season: here it is hot and dry until November. Therefore, even if you think for a long time whether you should go to the sea or not, you still have a chance to go to the sea – and it always warms your soul!
