Nickelodeon star Jennette McCurdy was harassed by a TV producer. This week, the 30-year-old actress published the book I’m Glad My Mother Is Dead. In her memoirs, she admitted that she was never happy while working on youth projects.

Jennette McCurdy became famous after the release of the TV series “iCarly”, in which Miranda Cosgrove was a partner. The show was about the life of thirteen-year-old girl Carly (Cosgrove) and her teenage life. The girlfriend of the main character in this project was played by Jennet McCurdy.

iCarly was live from 2007 to 2012. In 2021, Paramount+ broadcast the sequel, but Jennette McCurdy did not return to her role – she left the film industry in 2017 and did not reveal the details of her long unexpected decision.

In I’m Glad My Mom Is Dead, McCurdy finally revealed the real reason behind his retirement from show business. It turned out that during the filming of the iCarly series, one of the creators of the project invited him to spend time alone with him – forcing him to drink alcohol and give him a massage. Jennet does not reveal the person’s name, but foreign media hints that this person may be Dan Schneider, the general producer of the iCarly series. There have been rumors in the industry about his sexual behavior towards teenagers who have been playing in TV shows for a long time.

Jeannette McCurdy also talked about her difficult relationship with her mother, who died of cancer in 2013, in her memoirs. According to him, she forced him to go to numerous auditions, go on a diet and regularly examine the breasts and genitals.
