Fashion show of young Russian designers will be held at Tavrida.ART festival

Held annually on the Black Sea coast of Crimea from August 15-19, the festival “Tavrida.ART” offers many opportunities to creative and talented young people. And this year, a large-scale fashion show of young Russian designers will take place within the framework of the festival. The show will take place next year on the construction site of the University of the Creative Industries, an education hub. This time, the collections of 20 designers will be shown, after which the guests of the festival will have the opportunity to purchase items from the Art.Mag pop-up area in the festival area.

This year, the fashion show at Tavrida.ART will be held with the theme of “Reflection of the World”. Models will walk on a mirrored catwalk that reflects the beauty of Kapsel Bay. The fashion festival will present not only collections of Russian young designers, but also a collaboration with already well-known Russian brands, such as a joint collection in romantic grunge style with Alena Oswald and 404 NOT FOUND, and an upcycle. “When creating the collection, some designers turned to the work of Russian cultural figures, inspired by Russian folklore, others asked questions about the relationship between man and society, unity with nature and overconsumption,” the festival organizers said.

The stylist of the fashion show was Yana Gorokhova, the designer, the founder of the ICÔNE.AT brand, the stylist, MBFWRussia participant and the master of the Tavrida art cluster. The show will also feature an eco-collection from participants in ecology and fashion industry art schools in collaboration with the Russian Ecological Operator PPC: the designers, under the guidance of artists Panika Trees and Olga, have developed a fashionable capsule from vintage items and recycled plastic. Ivanova is the chief designer of the management of “Art projects” and the fashion show “Victoria Andreyanova Fashion House”.

“This will be one of the most extraordinary shows in its format in Tavrida.ART history. During the festival, construction works will be stopped to make room for art. Tavrida.ART’s aim has always been to support young content creators, and it’s especially important now. We selected five designers who will present their collections on the runway at the fashion art school recently held on the art cluster site. The rest were selected through the casting platform and among the applications of the festival participants. Some are just starting their careers, some already have their own brands, but all of them show that the fashion industry in Russia continues to develop, ”said Victoria Danilova, producer of the fashion festival.
