Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Trevi Fountain: 10 places where tourists are robbed most often
Eiffel Tower
The British press has compiled the top 10 spots in Europe where tourists are most at risk of falling victim to pickpocketing – a note to anyone planning to travel in the near future.
The Rambla, a busy pedestrian street in central Barcelona, took first place. On the second line – the Eiffel Tower, which is the main attraction of Paris. By the way, the French capital is mentioned in the top ten more often than other cities: in the fifth place is the Sacré-Coeur Basilica, in the eighth – the Louvre, in the ninth – Notre Dame Cathedral.
Rome is mentioned twice in the list: the third line of “anti-rating” went to the Trevi Fountain, the sixth to the Colosseum.
The top ten includes two sights of Prague – the Charles Bridge (fourth row) and the Old Town Square with the famous astronomical clock (seventh place).
While closing the list of places where you risk going without a wallet, another popular spot in Barcelona is the Sagrada Familia temple.

The Daily Express recommends that passengers create their travel plans in advance to avoid losing valuables. You’ll quickly attract thieves while standing in the middle of a crowded place and looking at your phone with Google Maps: they prey on tourists and watch out for expensive gadgets.
