If you wear glasses daily or more occasionally – for example when the sun reminds us of our good memories – you will surely have already understood that they do not go well with make-up. The cause ? The rubbing of the frame on the skin, which displaces the concealer, foundation or BB cream, especially at the level of the wings of the nose. And it’s even worse in humid weather or in hot weather!
To help those who can no longer play “track counting”, a makeup artist has posted a video full of tricks to make the makeup last longer. And we remained silent.
How to avoid traces of glasses on makeup?
Released a few weeks ago, this one-minute video was received with great enthusiasm by Instagram users. Jamie Greenberg, star makeup artist and founder of the Jamie Makeup brand, gives many tips to limit the friction of the glasses and therefore their propensity to deteriorate the makeup applied beforehand.

The first thing to do is apply a small base of eyeshadow over the foundation, where the glasses touch the skin, [au niveau du nez mais aussi sur les pommettes]. Then brush some powder over the areas where you applied the base.
Then, disinfect the frame of your glasses with alcohol, wipe with a cloth or let the product dry, then apply the powder to the parts in contact with your face with a brush.
The last step of this “anti-trace” technique is to seal the makeup with a fixing spray. The eyeshadow base, powder and spray will create a barrier between the skin and the glasses, preventing them from disturbing the makeup too much.
Yes, it’s a bit long to do each morning, but if you can avoid having to pull out your pocket mirror every time you take off your glasses, why not?
