The first full trailer of director Bakuradze’s drama “Lermontov ında about the last hours of the great Russian poet’s life appeared on the web. The main role of the picture was unexpectedly played by Stand-up Comedian Ilya Ozolin and Yevgeny Romtsov, who played Nikolai Martynov, was the screen-enemy.

The plot is concentrating in one day – on the morning of July 15, 1841 at the foot of Mashuk Mountain in Pyatigorsk. Two days ago, Lermontov and Martynov were friends, but now a deadly conflict is maturing. The duel time is approaching, but no one from the poet’s environment will end with a tragedy of the day.
Lermontov’s premiere will be held as part of the Mayak Festival and the film will be broadcast on October 16 in a wide rental. The tape was published by Volga Studio and K24. The players included Dmitry Solomykin, who played the role of Vera Englycheva, Andrei Maksimov, Urshula Malka and Alexander Pushkin.
The director describes the project as a “anthropological portrait ve and admits that the idea came to him – during a trip through Pyatigorsk. “I invited the children to see the duel place and suddenly imagined how to die on a horse. He seemed to me one day from his life, bak he shared in an interview with Bakuraudze Kinopoisk.
The role of Lermontov was looking for a character, not an actor. According to him, with a muffled sound and a restless character, the outward dimly Ilya Ozolin was the opposite of Martynov, which was important for contrast. “We are looking for not only Lermontov, but also the surroundings as it follows.”
The creators of the film emphasize that Lermontov is a figure full of contradictions. The contemporaries wrote that he did not resemble any of his portraits and that his character combines romanticism, costumes and loneliness. In the film, this image collects a little more than the poet’s letters, memories and poems.
