While choosing a partner for a global study, a serious relationship, not only the “number of bodies” is not important – he showed how the number of old sexual ties, but also how they were distributed over time. It turned out that people’s sexual activity perceived those who have decreased more friendly over time, not the opposite.

Scientists from the University of Swanxi in Wales carried out a large -scale study in 11 countries, including the USA, Great Britain, China, Brazil, Australia and others. More than five thousand people participated in the survey from different age, culture and sexual orientations. The participants were invited to evaluate the hypothetical partners with “only four” and “only four” and “thirty -six” and different activity models: for example, someone started actively, but over time “calmed” and one gained momentum.
The more common the results, the more common the desire to have a serious relationship with this person. There was a particularly sharp sympathy reduction between 4 and 12 partners. However, over time, how sexual activity changed is important: people perceived more willingly those who had decreased over time. However, a sharp increase in the number of new partners left a negative impression on the survey participants.
It is interesting that men and women have similar evaluations on average – there was no significant difference in perception. This doubts that women with stormy history are more strongly condemned than men. Moreover, even participants who have a high level of “sociosexuality” (the desire to enter random ties without emotional commitment) preferred partners with less bond and decreasing activity.
Researchers emphasize that these data should be perceived by methodology: Participants did not represent the entire population of their country and information about the hypothetical partners was presented in the form of graphics, not in the form of live communication. However, general tendencies were observed in all countries, regardless of cultural differences.
President of the study. Andrew Thomas emphasizes that the public debate about sexual past is often ambitious. However, the data obtained show something else: the real perception of people is more flexible and humane. People are ready to accept their views and behaviors over time – and this destroys the idea of “universal condemnation” or gender bias.
Meanwhile, the results of a new study emerged before. It turned out that women with a long husband had a happier marriage. Learn more about it.
Meanwhile, it is believed that the 90s children are the last child to give great importance to sex. In the young generation, physical proximity enters the background and establishes a spiritual connection.
