Not even a week has passed since the launch of the beauty brand Kim Kardashian, the star has received criticism on social networks. According to fans, the name of the new skincare line SKKN By Kim is very similar to model Lori Harvey’s self-titled brand SKN By Lori Harvey.

Yıldız applied for the registration of the “SKKN By Kim” trademark in March 2021 and announced the launch of her trademark just one year later. Model Lori Harvey launched her skincare line for the first time a few months later in October 2021.

However, this is not the only accusation leveled against the brand. In August 2021, a Brooklyn beauty salon called “SKKN+” requested that Kardashian stop using her (consonant) trademark. Cindy Lunsford, owner of SKKN+, said she has been using this name since 2018. In response to the complaint, Kardashian’s lawyer said the star “values and supports small businesses” and plans to speak to Lunsford in the hopes she can “delicate the situation”.
