Lynch knew the future star’s father: Rossellini Sr. He once invited her to study at the film school in Rome, but she did not know Isabella. “You have such impressive facial features! “You can be Ingrid Bergman’s daughter,” the maestro shouted, and on the same day invited her to audition for the main role in “Blue Velvet”.
