We’ve figured out how to choose the perfect eyeliner shade for your eye color. And they noticed their contrasting appearance. Social media seems to help you understand yourself better. But the coin also has a downside.
Recently, a new trend has emerged on TikTok: “average looking girl.” In the video, the bloggers say they have an “average look” by wearing makeup. They consider themselves attractive, but not beautiful. They then list the criteria by which a person can classify themselves as this type. The most popular factors:
- men are not fit to meet people on the street;
- didn’t get much attention at school;
- men often meet your girlfriends;
- men often do not reciprocate;
- You achieve your goals through charisma, hard work or talent.
Over the past week, more than a hundred videos featuring this trend have been published, and only a few bloggers have noticed its exploitation.
Of course, we try to keep up with beauty trends, but we’re bound to miss this one. There is only one criterion by which you can consider yourself beautiful – you are! And you can love yourself just like that, and not “for something.”
