“Yes, it’s true, I have gypsy roots. Of course, I know a lot about some traditional things, cultural heritage, let’s put it that way. It’s not very deep, I don’t know the Gypsy language, but I know Gypsy love. I really love this culture, this theme, everything interests me,” said 39-year-old Seryabkina on her Telegram channel.
Meanwhile, Andro, the famous rap artist of gypsy origin, noted in his interview with the “vMeste” project that there are many stereotypes in his culture.
“I am tired of the myths that surround my nation. I want people to understand that gypsies are people too, they are not beggars on the street. Yes, I agree, there are such people, but they are also human, why are they treated like this,” the artist said in 2021.
