Stephen King shared the good news with horror fans. His new book will be published next year.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the novel “Never Wince” will hit store shelves for the first time on May 27, 2025. The book has two stories: one about a murderer seeking revenge, the other about a vigilante hunting down a famous feminist speaker. At the end of the story, the stories come together in a vivid and, according to the announcement, chilling ending.
The novel introduces characters already familiar to King fans, such as Holly Gibney (“Mr. Mercedes”) and singer Sista Bessie. When the Buckeye Police Department receives a disturbing letter from a man threatening to kill “thirteen innocents and one criminal,” Detective Izzie Jaynes has no idea what to think. Fourteen citizens will be killed in a frenzied act of retaliation? As the investigation progresses, Izzie realizes that the letter writer is serious and turns to her friend Holly Gibney for help.
