THE WITCHER Cast Praises Liam Hemsworth’s Relentless Energy as Geralt: ‘He Showed Up Fully Formed’

Fans may still be in disbelief at seeing a new face beneath Geralt’s iconic white hair, but the cast of The witcher I couldn’t be more confident Liam HemsworthLet’s consider the legend of monster hunting.

The witcher Season 4 arrived on Netflix on October 30, Hemsworth’s co-stars teased what to expect from his version of the White Wolf.

Laurence Fishburnewho joins the series as Regis, highly praised Hemsworth’s transformation into the role once held by Henry Cavill. “Liam did a magnificent job playing Geralt of Rivia,” Fishburne told GamesRadar+.

“He brought depth to the film; he brought his humor and his humanity and his intelligence. I think people will fall in love with him.”

That admiration has been echoed by Joey Bateyreturning as Jaskier. Considering how central the Geralt-Jaskier dynamic is to the heart of the show, Batey’s performance carries some weight.

“He definitely brought an energy. The man is relentless. He was training and preparing and researching and everything. And he showed up fully formed. He really knew his stuff,” Batey shared.

“He also had a strength within himself. He was able to challenge some writings, with respect, and collaborate with everyone to find his way.”

Anya Chalotrawho plays Yennefer, also praised Hemsworth’s dedication and presence on set, saying, “He brought his all. It’s a really important thing to do, and he was so open and vulnerable with us. That’s just all you can ask for, really.”

When Henry Cavill announced his exit from the series in 2022, many fans wondered if someone could take his place. But since taking on the role, Hemsworth seems to have earned the trust of the cast and crew.

A producer previously said it looked “fantastic” in costume and showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich he recently revealed that he knew he made the right choice the moment he saw Hemsworth embody Geralt on set.

We’ll just have to wait and see if audiences end up buying him for the role. If the enthusiasm of his castmates is any indication, fans may find themselves falling in love with this new White Wolf sooner than expected.
