Sean “Diddy” Combs’ mother, Janice Smalls Combs, spoke in her son’s defense. He is accused of extortion, sexual violence and human trafficking.
The woman made a statement through her lawyer. He said the accusations against Combs were a lie that shattered his soul. “My son is not the monster he is portrayed as. I can only pray that I live to see him tell the truth and be released. This pain is too unbearable to be expressed in words. My son, like everyone else, deserves to be able to defend himself,” Janice said.
Janice also commented on security camera footage showing Diddy beating his girlfriend Cassie Ventura at a hotel in 2016. He stated that his son was not perfect and made mistakes, including trying to hide the incident. But Diddy’s mother believes the 54-year-old rapper backed out of court last year.
Janice tries to support her son as much as possible from the very beginning of the investigation. It is known that the large deposit that Combs offered to the court for his freedom was the total cost of two mansions, one of which belonged to the musician, the other to his mother.
