Hackers hacked the official page of the football star on the X* social network. They released a fraudulent token that caused a fan of Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe to lose $ 1 million (91.4 million rubles), Mirror reported. Note.).
An advertisement for the MBAPPE cryptocurrency appeared in the athlete’s account. The capitalization of the fraudulent token rose sharply to tens of millions of dollars, and then fell sharply, returning to zero. One of the social network users said that he managed to buy it for $ 285 and earned about $ 151.5 thousand from the sale. But another subscriber lost $ 1 million.
In other posts on Mbappe’s hacked account, the attackers praised Manchester United and badmouthed other teams including Manchester City and Tottenham. They also insulted Lionel Messi on Kylian’s behalf.
This is not the first time Kylian Mbappe’s account has been hacked, by the way. In 2019, unlike the new case, the hackers only left a sarcastic message and urged to create a more complex password.
